This means on a personal level: The overall personality of the learner is addressed. Learning takes place with head, heart, hand and all senses, so it has cognitive, emotional and practical dimensions. Doing and thinking are linked together.
This means on the level of content: The contents of the lessons are not determined by a one-dimensional subject system, but by working on a topic from the complex (professional) reality.
The lessons tie in with the experiences and interests of the learners and enable them to independently acquire knowledge, solve problems, make decisions and test them in actions.
The focus of the lesson is on a usable result, a product of action. This product has a use value, it is presented to others, evaluated and reflected upon.
Doing things together is at the forefront of the learning process. The learners think in teams, plan, discuss, make decisions and test these decisions in actions ('learning by doing'). In this way, they build up the professional, methodological and social skills they will need later in their careers.
