The City of Munich (here: Städt. Berufsschule für Industrieelektronik) collects and processes personal data of the data subjects (students, trainees, legal guardians) in the context of school attendance (including school registration, school attendance, student library, annual report, miscellaneous) of the students and trainees.

Purposes and legal basis of data processing

The data is collected and processed in the context of school attendance. The legal bases are Article 6 (1) (e) of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) in conjunction with Article 4 (1) of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) and Article 85 of the Bavarian Education Act (BayEUG) or, in the case of consent under data protection law, Article 6 (1) (a) in conjunction with Article 7 DSGVO.

• Contact data (e.g. name, address, email, phone number)
• Content data (e.g. text input)
• Use data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times)
• Other communication data (eg IP addresses)

Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

Personal data is transferred to the data center of IT@M , which provides the technical infrastructure. IT@M is an in-house operation of the City of Munich; it is the central IT service provider of the City of Munich (order processor).

Duration of storage of personal data

After collection, the data will be stored by the responsible party (City of Munich) for as long as is necessary for the respective task fulfillment, taking into account the statutory retention periods pursuant to Section 40 of the Bavarian School Regulations (BaySchO).

Rights of data subjects

According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights: if your personal data is processed, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 DSGVO). If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification (Art. 16 DSGVO). If the legal requirements are met, you may request erasure or restriction of processing as well as object to processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 DSGVO). If you have consented to the data processing or if a contract for data processing exists and the data processing is carried out with the help of automated procedures, you may have a right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO). If you make use of your above-mentioned rights, the public body will check whether the legal requirements for this are met. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection.

Right of revocation in case of consent

If you have consented to processing by the City of Munich by making a corresponding declaration, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.
